Push me higher

Love the weather! The kids and I have spent a lot of time outside enjoying it. Scooters, playhouse, sandbox, and swings. What is it with swings? Kids LOVE them! Push me higher are the three words I have heard more than any other today.......

What is that number you might ask? It is the number of valentines we had to complete for the four classes in our house. Whew!! i guess it will I was lucky Parker has only 12 in his class......

Recharged and ready for action

I just got home late last night from a 4 day getaway with my wonderful husband. He was in Las Vegas for World of Concrete and flew me out to join him for the weekend. There are no words to describe how perfect the weekend was. Timing could not have been any better, the room magnificent, food mouth watering........even my flight out was awesome. We got bumped off our flight for no reason so to make it up to us, they put me back on the flight and in FIRST CLASS no less. Four days of adult conversation and real meals with no high chairs and kid menus, sleeping in and waking to a quiet and peaceful room NOT MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY......
Even the rain on Saturday, did not damper our mood. We used it as an excuse to nap. So while everyone here in Richmond (the fab four stayed in Amelia with the grandparents ) was enjoying the beautiful spring like weather, I was snuggled up in a gorgeous room with the love of my life napping. Seems to me, everyone had a good time.
So thank you Chad for bringing me along and thank you to everyone here in RIchmond who made it possible for me to go. I needed it and am a better mom because of it!

Day Off

Mommy needs a day off......I do not think I have been away from all four kids since before Christmas with holidays and Disney and sickness SO, mommy needs a day off. One is coming soon though!

Lists

If any of you read my 25 things on facebook you would see my comment about lists and making them. I do not think you could really understand my passion for lists. I LOVE writing them. My next favorite thing to do is cross things off. Sometimes, I even ut things on the list that I hve already done or have to do, just so I can cross them off.
Taking a shower, for instance...on the list.....
eating breakfast.....on the list.....
making a list of what I need to do...you guessed it...on the list
Anyway, all this goes back to last night. I had to get out of bed at 11:30 pm just to make my list for this morning. I could not go to sleep until my list had been drawn up. My mom even bought me a pad of paper with the seven days on it with room under each day for your daily lists. YEAH. It still amazes me how good and content I feel, after making my list, then of course crossing things off.
But now I can cross something else off, UPDATE MY BLOG!!!

Pizza and PJs

What could better than pizza, pjs, and good friends? Nothing for Cooper today! She has a friend over and they are having a picnic lunch of pizza, grapes, and juice boxes, while sitting in pajamas and watching a video. I wish I could do that with some of my friends. I miss seeing so many of my girlfriends and having down time with them. It is amazing how being a stay at home mom can occupy so much of your time that your are neither staying at home OR getting to be with other moms...... SO, right now this is a shout out to all my dear friends to let them know I am thinking about them, missing them, and wishing we too could get in our pajamas, eat pizza, and watch a video.

Randomness....

Kids are home from school today and playing around the house.......
Did make it to the gym and got a great workout in......
Cold in the house because the heat does not work properly right now.......
Barrett has a friend over, Cooper is at a friends and returning home to another friend......
Parker has a snotty nose and grumpy personality today........
Logan is applying more makeup than should be allowed for a 6 year old......
I am very hungary because I am trying to shed the winter weight ........
just another monday...........how about you?????
