Oink!Oink!

Everyone has it, there is no avoiding it.....the Swine Flu. Here is my question? How worried should I be? I hear all the news and warnings from the health departments and the schools but what can we really do? There is no way to keep our children and selves from becoming exposed short of quarantining ourselves in the house all winter. I do not know about the rest of you but this is NOT an option for us. In our neighborhood alone, 4 boys in 1 1/2 weeks have come down with it and I can not think of a family I know with children that has not been affected. Bear is home now with it but what I want to know is how scared should I be? I mean I think the scarier idea is that it will spread through my family like wildfire and I might be stuck here for quite sometime. AAAAHHHHH! That is a scary thought.
I guess on the upside is I might get to post more often on my blog????

updates

So it has been awhile since I posted but nothing really major has happened. The kids get up, they go to school, I run around like a crazy woman trying to accomplish more than humanly possible, they come home from school, homework, karate, dance, gymnastics, scouts, dinner, showers, stories, and bed. That is about what each and everyday looks like in the Gill household. Throw in doctor appointments and meetings and it is one big party. I keep wondering when things are going to calm down a bit then I realize with four children and a super busy husband, that is not going to happen for quite some time. In fact, by the time it does happen, I will probably not know what to do with myself or my time.
However, I do have some free time now. The house is quiet, children are bathed and in bed, dishes done, kitchen clean, backpacks packed for tomorrow, Chad is out. I could catch up on work, post on my blog BUT I could also go to bed. I choose to hit the sack so
GOODNIGHT and SLEEP TIGHT!!!

What to be?

What do you want to be for Halloween?
One would think this would be an easy enough for a child . However, when presented with all the options, I think it is way to overwhelming for a three year old. Barrett is set, decided. The girls have only changed their minds 3 times and I have ordered the latest choice so they can not change again. Parker, on the other hand, is a mess. He has NO IDEA how to choose from all of the fabulous options out there. I have already purchased one costume and he has already chosen 6 other options. Luckily, we have several in our closet but knowing my child he will be adamant about the one costume I do not have come October 31st and it will be too late. So far the choices are:
Wolvarine
Batman
Spiderman
Ben 10
Power Ranger
Peter Pan
Scooby Doo
Pokemon
These are the ones from THIS WEEK.
What to do, what to do????

Clothes

I think I might have posted about this in the past but boy and I frustrated. I went Back to SChool shopping for my Logan this weekend and could find NOTHING. They do not seem to make any girl clothes these days that do not make my little girl look like she should be working the streets at night. We went to 7 different stores in a few hours time and came home empty handed. What am I supposed to do? She really does need more to wear to school than her one jean skirt and a fancy dress. HELP!!!!!

Black Belt

This weekend Barrett tested and received his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He has been working towards this goal for over 2 years and we are so proud of his accomplishment. His Aunt Bethie came up from NC to witness the event and two of his buddies also tested the same day. The day was long and stressful but WOW was it worth it. I can not express the joy I experienced seeing all his hard work and determination come to such a peak!
Job well done Barrett!

Now that I have just Park home and I get NOTHING done, zip....zilch.....nada...... It is beginning to be a problem. I feel like I have all day and Parker and I piddle around until the bus arrives back home and have nothing to show for it.
Example:

What Got Done Today:

Krispy Kreme
Bus Stop

What Needed to get done today:
laundry
cake baking
clean house
put clothes away

Do you see the problem?????
